Butler has reported to California for further orders in the Navy after spending a 30 day leave with Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Butler. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Vaughn of Charleston visited Mr. Earnest Vaughn and Mrs. Susie Hawks. Glad to report Mrs. M. D. Smitherman, mother of Daisy Cothran, is at home now after being very sick and a patient at Blalock Clinic. Mrs. David Smart of Walker Air Force Base in New Mexico is spending a few weeks with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alexander. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alexander and Mrs. David Smart visited relatives in Liberty, S. C. on Sunday. April 3. Mr. and Mrs. Ansel Peace and children and Mr Peace's mother visited Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey Turner and family recently. Mr. and Mrs. Hobert Phillips and children and Mr. Burton Phillips and jjrand son. Karl Turner, are visiting relatives in Bee Log, N. C. Mr. Rex SmitHerman of Detroit. Mich.. Ray Smitherman of Atlanta. Georgia, and Cecil Pugh of Birmingham. Wonder if Marv Terry has anything in that big paper "poke" yet for that ailment. Mary told us the other day that of all the things she has bought on the tlollar down and dollar a iveek plan, she has never sought herself a watch, but sy the time you read this she will be wearing one very proudly that will be given by the company for which we work. F' Brenda Gail Smitherman celebrated her 16th birthday April 6. She is the attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Smitherman, Clinton Mills. Q vstead?~ f - -V ^^ This little fellow is Teddy McLendon, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McLendon of Clinton Mills. He is six months old. Granny Windsor and Guynell Chilton recently celebrated their 85th and 12th birthdays. Granny has two sons employed at Clinton-Lydia Mills, Lum and Mark. Guynell's mother, Margaret Chilton, is employed at Clinton Mills. The Church of God of Prophecy gave a party in their honor April 2nd at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Woodward. There were 32 in attendance.
