to safetv. we have talked to
.'14 employees in our daily
safetv meetings. Some of the
outstanding suggestions and
facts we would like to pass
to you which were brought
out in these meetings were as
follows:
Dewey Lawrence, w a r p

knew his or her job 1
and the safety rules pertain- <
ing to them, he thinks that
would solve 50 per cent of the

Arthur Davis, loom fixer,
talked on unsafe conditions
and what to look for when
making regular monthly safety
inspections. i
Sudie Putnam, battery filler,
talked on the importance of
reporting minor injuries im
nediately to your supervisor.

2nd Shift

Wc are now having our
safety meetings once a week.
We have a different speaker
aach time. It was in charge
of Mrs. Inez Turner this week
and she made a nice talk tellng
us of the things which we
should do and should not do
to make our department a
setter place to work. Our
supervisor, Mr. Alexander, is
always safety minded and we
all want to cooperate with
aim.

is away at school.
Mrs. Edna Terrv spent the
weekend with her mother in
Columbia.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oxner
of Aiken, S. C.. are the
proud parents of a baby girl
born September 27. She has
been given the name. Tammie
Charlene. The proud grandparents
are Mr. and Mrs. R.
C. Oxner.
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Barker
visited their daughter
over the weekend, who is a
patient at the Watt Hospital
in Durham, N. C.

We have all been taking
part in our department concerning
safety. Our supervisor.
Mr. Bently, has explained
to each of us how
much Safety means to each
of us and to the company we
work for. There has been
several talks made on Safety
bv Mrs. Janet Cauble, Mr.
Charles Slack. Mr. Nathan
Cannon and Mrs. Opal McAlister.
We hope there will
be no accidents so let's all be
careful.
I do hope everyone will
give to our chest drive this
year as before only the ones
that have had and do have
these dreadful diseases knowhow
much w-e need your
help. (I know because I have
been one). Please Help.
