Mr. and Mrs. Lester Davis ind family motored to Mars Jill, N. C., for Homecoming, hen on to the Smokies for a veekend. They had a wonierful trip. Maxie Davis spent a week ,vith Walker Smith in Bufalo, then Walker returned lomc with Maxie for a week's itay. On September 6 there was m annual reunion of the White family held at Princeon. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Tram mell accompanied their son, Ken, to Greenville last Tuesday. Ken enrolled as a freshman at Furman University. Friends of Mrs. F. L. Thornburg will be glad to know that she has returned home after being called to Winterhaven, Fla., to visit her son, Lee Thornburg. Lee has been very ill, but is much better now. Friends of Miss Linda Patterson will be glad to know that she is at home after having an operation at Hays Hospital. Hope she will continue to get along fine. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Turner and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sherrifield last weekend. Mr. James Wvatt, of Winnsboro, S. C.. visited his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Wvatt, last weekend. We are glad to know that Mrs. John Whitmore is much better after being ill for an extended period of time. Mr. Boyd Wilkes has enjoyed a fishing trip during the w.?kend in Jessup, Ga. Lynn Evans spent a few days last week with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Miller West, in Greer.
