Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neal visited relatives in Greenville Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Price and sons attended the "Ice j Follies" when they were in Greenville recently. Wallace Putnam. Billv Glen and Bill Campbell spent a weekend with Billy's grandmother in Greenwood. Mr. and Mrs. Millard Murphy of Joanna visited Mr. and . Mrs. Clyde Putnam recently. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ginn of Greenwood visited Mr. and ^ Mrs. Sutties Sunday. There were IB quests and after several , games were played the hostesses served refreshments and Mrs. Farmer opened the many lovely and useful gifts she received. Mrs. Farmer is the former Miss Nancy Cheek of Greenwood. She was also honored with another party at the home of friends in Greenwood where she received many more lovely gifts. The Junior Kirby's visited in Orangeburg recently. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Butler visited Mr. and Mrs. Dickerson in Chester recently and had two flat tires and more trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Crov visited in Greenville recently. The J. A. McNinchs and Mrs. Emma Mavfield visited VIr. and Mrs. Silas Smith in ron Station. N. C. Don Copeland has a pretty lew ear. Davis, Mrs. Mildred Kinard, Mrs. Maggie Campbell, Mrs. Jessie Mauldin, Mrs. Eloise McElveen, Mrs. Mary Taylor, Mrs. Rubv Sineath, Mrs. Lucille (D.D.G.M.), Mrs. Cornelia Burdette and Mrs. Eloise Jones attended the Annual Inspection of the Boyd Bobo Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star in Ware Shoals Feb. 28th. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Riser spent a recent weekend in Anderson with their son and family, the Sidney Risers. Mrs. Leo Riser and Mrs. Clyde Putnam were shoppers in urecnville on a rc-coni Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hardy and son of Clemson were recent weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gibbs. Sgt. Larry Fowler has been transferred from California to Denver. Colorado, where he is enrolled in a school studying guided missiles. Malcolm Fowler received his discharge from the Air Force Feb. 20. At present he is staying at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fowler. Clinton-Lydia Cotton Mills sponsored a basketball team in the Southern Textile Basketball Tournament played in Greenville this month. The team composed of Sam Owens, Truman Owens. Jimmy Braswell. Bobby Thomas. Billy Cauble. Billy Sanders. Joe Lark and Cecil Davenport played exceptionally well They were eliminated in the consolation semi-finals aftei scoring two victories in one day. Chief Warrant Officer L. E Wood, son of Mrs. Ora Williams. returned from a six months voyage (with the Navy) and arrived March 2C for a visit with his folks Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Williams And while we're on the subject of Ora. let me tell you? she's grandma again! Little Louis Everett (Lee) Wood arrived March 1 at Greenwood Memorial hospital, the son ol Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wood Congratulations to all. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McCoy and family spent a weekend in Anderson with Mr and Mrs. Sidney Riser re cently. Mrs. Dora Leopard, whose birthday was Feb. 17. and hei grandson. Johnny, who was f years old Feb. 16. were giver a birthday dinner at Mrs Leopard's home on Sunday Feb. 15.
