From London's Tatler And

about Bobbv, a little six-yearold.
who came home from a
nearby playground proudly
clutching a toy automobile in
his arms.

recognizing the toy.
"1 got it from a little boy
for doing him a favor." came
the answer.
' How nice. dear. What was
the favor?"
"1 was hitting him on the
head," explained Bobby, "and
he asked me to stop."
A sweet young lady oyster
was confiding to her girl
friend about her romance
with a dashing young lobster.
"He's dark, handsome, and
real smooth." she sighed. "He
took me to that rock near the
sandbar, looked into my eyes,
whispered sweet nothings in
my ear. put his arms around
me and . . ."
As she uttered these last
words she clutched at her
throat. "Oh. good heavens ...
my Pearls!"
"If you could have two
wishes," said one girl to another.
"what would they he?"
"Well, said her friend
thoughtfully. "I'd wish for a
husband."
"That's only one." pointed
out the first girl.
"Oli, I'd save the other until
I saw how he turned out."

Old Lazv Jed lived pretty

To hold a thimble secure on
the finger, moisten the finger
in your mouth a moment.
To remove grease and
burned food on electric range,
soak in warm vinegar water
ten minutes. Very good for
pots and pans, too.
When ironing scarf with
embroidery, always iron on
wrong side to make the embroidery
design stand out.
To water small pot plants.
put 2 or 3 ice cubes on soil.
Liquid self-polishing wax is
the answer to dresser drawers
that stick. After removing the
drawers, dust the runways
then apply liquid wax to both
runways and drawer edges
with a cloth. You can rely on
them sliding easily even in
damp weather after this treatment.
Attach a three - pronged
towel rack to the broad end
of your ironing board. It will
hold small pieces, and save
steps. Prongs fold along end
of board when you put it
awav.
Milk stains can be removed
in most cases with cold water.
A few drops of cologne
sprinkled on the board before
ironing will give your clothes
a delicate fragrance.
You can cut very thin slices!
