Williams will soon be able to be back at work as he is out sick. Mrs. Mildred Bailey observed a birthdav Tuesday. Feb. 3rd. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Bailey visited the latter's sister in Georgia recently, she sailed for Germany Feb. 14th. Norma Jean Shelnut observed a birthday Jan. 31 and Stanley Shelnut observed one on Jan. 22. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Darnell, from Waterloo, visited Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Kisland and family the past weekend. Mr. and Mrs. E. I. Neal and daughter of Greenwood visited Mr. and Mrs. Grover McInvaille over the weekend and Peggy Mclnvaille of Lancaster also spent the weekend with hor narpntc James and Betty Lou McLendon have been sick several days with flu. Mr. Charles Fowler observed a birthday Feb. 11 and Mrs. John Benjamin one on Feb. 20th. Mrs. Hellen Cook will observe a birthday Feb. 28th. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Prince are the proud parents of a 6 lb. babv girl born Jan. 28th. Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Cook were in Greenville to attend the Ice Vogues Wednesday night. Mr. Joshe Motte is a patient at the Veterans Hospital in Columbia. Edward Childers and Dianne Prather attended the Ice Vogues in Greenville recently. Mr. and Mrs. Witt visited in Greenville the past weekend. Airman 2nd Class Jimmy Meeks, who is stationed in French Morocco, celebrated his 21st birthday Feb. 20th. Joe Davenport will observe a birthdnv Foh 2fith Hi? two little grandsons will observe a birthday in February also; Larry Owens will be .'1 years old February 28th and Brian Shealy was one year old February 19th. Johnny Lanford celebrated his 12th birthday Feb. 10th. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Lanford will observe their 14th anniversary March 5th. Mrs. Clyde Trammell. Mrs. E. C. Taylor. Jr., and Mrs. E. C. Burdette attended the O. E. S. banquet in Lyman and the Eastern Star inspection at Jackson Chapter recently. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Burdette and son visited Mr. and Mrs. H. Vvr. Campbell and children in Charlotte. N. C.. and Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Campbell, Sr., in Bessemer City, N. C., recently. Mrs. Floyd Emorv and Mrs. Jennene Johnson were visitors in Newberry on a recent Monday to celebrate Dovle Emory's birthday. We are glad to have Betty Sherrifield and Billie McEihannon on the third shift. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Sauls and children of Goldsboro, N. C., visited Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Pierce over the weekend. Mrs. Bettv Massey and Mr. and Mrs. Butler visited Mrs. Massey's three sons in Gastonia. N. C.. recently. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Cook recently were Mr. and Mrs. H. C. CARD ROOM 1st Shift By Martha Wyatt Mr. and Mrs. Cordell Sanders are the proud grandparents of a babv girl born to their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Campbell of Lvdia Mill. We are glad to have Buddy MeElhannon on the first shift with us for a while during the relocation of Card room machinery. Also glad to have James Brown and Harold Cauble from the Weave room with us during the relocation of Card room machinery. We are happy to hear that Mrs. Annie B. Johnson is improving after being ill for some time. We sincerely hope that she will soon be well and up again. We want to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Seay to our community. They are residing on Oak Street. Mr. Seav is employed as a frame section man in the Card room and Mrs. Seav is a spinner. Mr. William Snow and family enjoyed a surprise birthday party for his mother. We extend sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Price in the death of her brother, Mr. Marvin Scarborough of Michigan. Mrs. Price attended the funeral. Glad to report Horace Childress. son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Childress, is improving after being a patient at Blalock Clinic. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. William Nelson on the birth of a daughter, Cynthia Darlene, January 23rd at Blalock Clinic. Mrs. Nelson is the former Miss Floy Hamilton. Mr. Nelson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Odie Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Denver Mattison and sons were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moore recently. CLOTH ROOM By Shirley Barlow Mrs. Mvrtie Alewine visited her mother, Mrs. Pearl Wheeler, in Newberry recently. Steve and Wayne Hairston spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Williams in Newberry. Airman 1st Class and Mrs. Allen White and "Scotter" and Cynthia have arrived home from San Antonio Tpv as, after being discharged from the Air Force. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Harris, with Mr. W. H. Peavv, visited Mr. and Mrs. Tom Keith in Gaffnev recently. Little Linda Holbert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Holbert, is ill at Blalock Clinic. We hope she will be feeling better soon. Miss Gloria Jackson spent the weekend with her grandmother. Mrs. Nora Kirbv in Gerald Satteriield celebrated his 20th birthday February 7. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. H. L.
