The Clinton party was in the Mercer Silas Bailey School Cafeteria and the Lydia party in the Providence School Cafeteria. The parties were held from H a.m. to H p.m. Employees and their dependents received personal written invitations w h i c h when presented entitled each to a Christmas Bag. Santa Was There Santa Claus accepted an invitation to attend the parties anH u/a*; hit V-mnrl ??. greet and hear the requests of children of all ages. Refreshments of punch, coffee, cookies, candies and popcorn were served throughout the day in the beautifully decorated cafeterias. It required more than 400 crates of oranges. 6.000 bags of candv and well over a ton of nuts to fill the large and brightly decorated Christmas Bags which carry the mill management's message of "Best Wishes for a Merry Christmas". Entries will be confined to doorways, windows and lawn or porch decorations. Each display must be clearly visible from the street and illu minated from December IT Lydia Woman's Club Holds Banquet The Lydia Woman's Club held their annual banquet in November at the Providence School Cafeteria. The tables were lovely with arrangements of fall flowers. Mrs. H. E. Whitmire. president. presided and introduced the special guests. Mrs. Sara Word, program chairman, had charge of the Program. An evening of fun w i t h games suggestive of Thanksgiving wore played. The banquet was prepared by a committee from the club, and was served by Linda Corlev. Sue Word. Judging will be done at night bv qualified persons from outside our communities. Originality, ingenuity and tastefulness will be the points judged. First, second and third place winners in each community will be awarded Christmas fruit cakes. All residents of the communities are urged to help in making our communities "Christmasv" again this year. Community Houses Set for Christmas C o m m unity Clubs and Church groups are utilizing to the fullest the beautifully decorated Community Centers for Christmas parties and programs. The Centers have been made very attractive and "Christmasv". The Christmas Tree and other attractive and colorful arrangements pro vide an appropriate background for the activities. Employees and their families are cordially invited to visit and enjoy the facilities of the Centers during the Holiday Season.
