Experience has shown that

upon an enlightened
citizenry. That type of citizenry
must have a fundamental
understanding of the
basic government of the
United States in its many
units, but especially of those
of their local units of City,
County and State.
Palmetto Boys' State is designed
to instill into boy leaders
of today a working knowledge
of the structure of government.

of its objectives. Bv living
and working in a miniature
state with their own city,
county and state organization
for seven days, they learn
