Mr. and Mrs. Haskell Williamson
and Priscilla attended
the funeral of Mrs. Williamson's
aunt. Mrs. Sallie Cullins,
of Anderson, Sunday.
Mrs. Lula Neal, Mr. and
Mrs. Ruether Neal and children
of Greenville spent a
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Neal recently.
Mr. and Mrs. George Price
and sons and Mrs. Ella Harvey
spent a Sunday in Chester
recently with the Odell
Gregorys.

Hi Everybody,
Wonder how many cases of
Spring fever in Clinton. I
personally know of one and
I'm afraid a fishing trip will
only make it worse, so I keep
putting it off and started
house cleaning instead. How
about you?
Sam Owens wants everyone
to know that he and Rufus
Chapin have taken over the
Phillips 66 Service Station
next to the Winn-Dixie Store
and any business you can
bring their way will be appreciated.
He also wants you
to know that he has been
weaving some lately. He's
about as proud of that as he
is the service station.
Mr. and Mrs. Evans Lever
and family visited the Art
Museum at Bob Jones University
recently, and they said it
was really worth a trip to
Greenville to see the things

spent a recent Sunday in Anderson

who moved to Anderson recently.

Frances Bradberry and Mrs.
Dolly Lusk attended the singing
in Spartanburg recently.
Mrs. Dot Lanford and
daughter, Sandra, and Mrs.
Louise Martin and daughter
Cornelia, went to Greenville
on a shopping trip before Easter.
(Dot splurged! ask her.)
Mrs. Ola Meadors and Alan
Strickland shopped in Greenville
on Friday before Easter,
but Ola didn't find what she
wanted, so she and Ethel
Lever and son. Chuck, took a
trip to Greenwood the following
week. (P.S. Ola still didn't
find what she wanted. I be
lieve she's kinda hard to
please).
Mrs. A. A. Barker has been
ill for some time. But the
morning I got up news. Pop
Barker said she was better,
that she cooked him some biscuits
that morning. (He's been
doing the cooking). We're
really glad that she's improving.
Mrs. Alice Kuvkendall visited
her son. Loyal, in Greensboro
recently. Loyal has undergone
surgery for a ruptured
disc in his back. Hope
he'll continue to improve.
Mrs. Dora Leopard and son.
Truman, attended the funeral
of Mrs. Leopard's brother-inlaw.

Billy Wilson, went shopping
in Greenville before Easter.
(Hope they had better luck
than Ola). Mrs. Wilson is
joining her husband in Japan
this month for two years. We
hope she has a pleasant voyage.
At the time of this writing
(April J) Mrs. Dock Dover is
in critical condition in Newberry
Hospital. Henrietta has
been ill for several weeks. We
sincerely hope bv the time
you read this she will be very
much improved.
Mrs. A. H. Hughes, Mr. and
Mrs. B. R. West of Spartanburg
visited Mr. and Mrs. J.

the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kinard
visited Mr. Marvin DeYoung,
who was a patient at the Columbia
Hospital. Mr. DeYoung
was injured in an auto
accident March 10.
Boatswain L. E. Wood of
Norfolk. Va., spent a 15-day
leave with his mother, Mrs.
Ora Wood.
Mrs. Ora Wood and J. D.
Williams and L. E. Wood were
supper guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Wood in Greenwood
recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Coleman
and daughter of Donalds, Mr.
and Mrs. Louise Mullinax and
daughters and Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Pollard of Anderson visited
Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Handback
and bovs.
Much sympathy to Shorty
in the recent death of her
little dog. Tommy.
Mrs. Ruth Oxner and your
reporter (Grace) visited their
parents. Rev. and Mrs. George
James, in Duncan and their
brother and sister-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. David James, in
Spartanburg recently. David
underwent surgery at Spartanburg
Hospital in February.
He's doing fine now, thank
you. Been back at work two
weeks.

Here it is news time again.
Nobody seems to be going
anywhere much. Bet they
will now that Spring is finally
here.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Smith
visited in Greenville. S. C.,
recently.

March 25 in Anderson, S. C.,
at the home of Mrs. Leon
Jordan.
George Thompson has had
the mumps, but he is better
now.
Tom O'Shields, Billy Snelgrove
and Joe Campbell went
way down to Lake Murray
fishing. They were going to
try out Billy's new motor but
it wouldn't run. Joe savs the
only motor they had was Mr.
O'Shields, so they had to
paddle. He said Mr. O'Shields
really caught some nice fish.
Tommy Miles has been sick
with an infected ear. He is
back at school now.
Louise Lewis, sister of Ruth
Thornton, has been a patient
at Self Memorial Hospital.
Ruth and family spent last
weekend with her. We hope

Mr. and Mrs. Obe Thornton
celebrated their 21st Wedding
Anniversary April 17th. Congratulations.

That's a long time isn't it?
Mrs. S. B. Snelgrove has
been very sick with pneumonia.
We hope she is better
soon. Billy Snelgrove and
family visited her recently.
Mrs. R. V. Mahaffev has
been a patient at Laurens
Hospital. We are glad she is
home now and getting along
fine.
Louise Martin says she is
hoping there will be an Easter
parade in Clinton Sunday. Bet
she will be a dillv in her Fas
ter bonnet. I sure hope I am
there to join the fun.
