Both your reporters forgot it last month and incidently both your reporters have been on the staff since the paper was first started. I do say Evelyn you are really going to have to grow a little taller so people won't go around mistaking you for a tool kit. Mr. & Mrs. Harold Hughes and family of Savannah, Georgia spent a recent week end with Mr Mrs .1 TT Hughes. Rev. & Mrs. James L. Slaughter attended the Fire Baptized Church Conference in Anderson the week end of M arch 1. Mrs. J a m e s L. Slaughter and son spent a recent vacation in Tampa. Fla. with friends. Mr. & Mrs. Joe GrifTin and children of Florence. Mr. & Mrs. James Arnold and girls of Hemingway were recent visitors of Mr. & Mrs. Oscar Kinard. We wondered why Rov went around acting like a king the other morning but pretty soon we found out. He was a proud "grandpapa" again. The little fellow arrived February 25 at a Myrtle Beach Hospital. He has been given the Name of Charles Edward and the proud parents are Sgt. and Mrs. Calvin Lee. Mrs. Lee is the former Miss Joan Cannon. Mrs. Roy Cannon is spending several weeks with her daughter. Roy says he's going down tomorrow to see that grandboy. Your reporter asked C. Clinton Mills, celebrated his 11th birthday in January. T H & r^jpP ^ | house?after a second he said a babv tfirl puppy. Lydia Bell says it's real cute. Mrs. Dora Leopard was very pleasantly surprised on ? i r 1 cti living norne irom i^nurcn Sunday, February 16. All her children and grandchildren were there. Each with a big basket of food for Mrs. Leopard's birthday dinner. Then on Monday, Ethel Lever brought her a big birthday cake, which she shared with fellow employees. It was delicious! Rut Ethel says she's only baking birthday cakes for those over 60. so I guess it will be a few years before some of us claim one. R. C. Wilkie, DK 2. of Bainbridge.
