Santa Claus To Attend
Santa Claus has accepted
an invitation to attend the
parties and will be on hand
to greet and hear the request
of children of all ages. Refreshments
of punch, coffee,
cookies, candies and popcorn

day in the beautifully decorated
cafeterias.

One Week's Pay
Both mills will close for the
Christmas Holidays on Saturday,
December 21st, at 8
o'clock a. m. and will remain
closed until operations arc resumed
on Sunday night, December
29th. at 12:01 a. m.
A substantial majority of
the employees, those who
have been continuously employed
for 5 years or more,
will receive one week's pay
for the Christmas Holidays.
Payment for the week's pay
will be made on the regular
paydav. Friday, January 3rd.

Receive Flu Shots
of employees last week.
Plant Nurses held "flu
shot clinics" from 3:00 p. m.
to 4:45 p. m. for three days,
during which time more than
115 employees' dependents
received snois.
Through cooperation with
the Laurens County Health
Department. Salk (Polio)
Vaccine will be available on
December 17th to all employees
'JO years old and
younger, and to all employees'
dependents in the same
age group on a voluntary, no
cost basis. Three shots are
necessary for maximum protection.
The first shots will
be given bv the Plant Nurses
in the Clinics on Tuesday.
December 17th. from TOO to
4:45 p. m. The second shots
will be given by the nurses
at the Clinics during the same
hours on Friday. January 3rd.
1958. The third, and last shot
in the series, will be given
when the vaccine is available
from the Laurens County
Health Department, some 8 to
7 months later.

Christmas Decorati
The Company will again
sponsor the annual Home
Decoration Contest for all
residents of the Clinton-Lydia
Mills Communities.
Entries will be confined to
doorways, windows and lawn
or porch decorations. Each
display must be clearly visiIiIa*

December 124. Judging will
be done at night by qualified
persons from outside our
communities. Originality, ingenuity
and tastefulness will
be the points judged.
Frist, second and third
place winners in each community
will be awarded
Christmas fruit cakes.
All residents of the communities
