1st Shift

Hello again, fellow workers!
Another month gone by
and aren't we enjoying this
beautiful spring weather?
But it sure will give you the
spring fever, won't it?
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Boozer
were weekend guests of
their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ray Boozer. Also visiting the
Boozers recently was Mrs,
Ruth Gillian of Greenwood.
Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Burdette
spent a recent weekend with
their daughter and son-inlaw.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilson
Campbell and children in
Spartanburg. Friends will be
interested to know the Campbells
are moving to Charlotte
at an early date.
Mr. and Mrs. F u r m a n
Bratcher and Mr. and Mrs
Sam Owens visited in Greenwood
Saturday. Recent supper
guests of the Bratchers
were Mr. and Mrs. Culbertson
of Greenwood.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Milam
were called to Swannanoa. N
C., recently due to the death
of Mr. Milam's brother. Dougloo

Our Secret-Pal Club in
Weave Room ~2 had another
lovely party recently at the
home of Mrs. Furman Bratcher.
Gifts were exchanged by
the members and delicious
refreshments were served.
Several of our co-workers
have been ill in the past few
weeks and we wish for all a
speedy recovery. These include
Anne Zogg Everett,
Jim Hughes, Vivian May
(who is now a patient at Laurens
County Hospital).
We wish to extend a hearty
1 welcome to Tom McCarson,
who comes to us from the
second shift. Also, a belated
welcome to Bill Campbell, recently
of the 2nd shift. Welcome

Emery.

home from Blalock's
Clinic, where she has been a
patient for the past two

John Motts, who celebrated

May 10th. The John Gallmans
will celebrate their 10th
anniversary on May 30th.

We welcome Mrs. Hughey
to the 3rd shift even though
it is only for a while. We
really are enjoying her company.
Mrs. Ruth Ammons has
been out a few days sick.
Mr. and Mrs. James Amnions
were called to Anderson
due to the death of an
aunt.
Ann King has been in Hays
Hospital with measels and
pneumonia.
Mrs. Grace Coker was a
visitor in Greer recently. Her
brother. Melvin Smith was
home from Spokane, Washington.
James Larry Smith, son of
Mr. and Mrs. James Smith,
was seven years old Mav 2.
Vivian Darlen Vanderford
will be one year old June 9.
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.
B. Vanderford. Granddaughter
of Mr. and Mrs. B. F.
Vanderford.
Lola Mae Overstreet has a
birthday May 21.
Jimmy Overstreet celebrated
his birthday April 28.
Mr. J. W. South spent the
night on Broad River, but
didn't catch a single fish.

Little Mike Campbell is
visiting his grandmother in
Greer. S. C.
Garel Satterfield will celebrate
his birthday May 13,
and Boots. May 15, and her
mother, Mrs. Bertha Tavlor,
May 18.
Jimmie Carol celebrated
his 22nd birthday April 20.
Mr. and Mrs. Harley Culpepper
were visitors in Union
recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Skinnie Gregory
will celebrate their 24th
wedding anniversary May 27.

Mr. Horace Colins has been
off due to personal sickness.
Mrs. Lola Brown has been
out several days due to the
serious illness of her husband.
Mrs. Julia Frick has just
returned to work after four
days of sickness.
Mrs. Jessie Hairston has
also been on the sick list, but
has returned to work.
Your reporter attended
services at Welcome Baptist
Church Sunday night and
had the privilege of hearing
a very good friend. Rev. J. B.
Abercrombia, preach. He formerly
lived at Lydia Mills.
Mrs. Mac Nelson has been
on the sick list the past few
days.
