At Clinton
High School
Sons of Clinton-Lvdia employees
are afforded an excellent
opportunity to prepare
themselves for a textile
career while still in their
early teens. This is possible
hrough the support and cooperation
of Clinton-Lvdia
ind Joanna Cotton Mills with
Clinton High School.
South Carolina's most important
industry is Textiles.
Some phase of textile manufacturing
or finishing is located
in thirty-five of her
forty-six counties. For South
Carolina to maintain its position
as the "textile center of
the world" it must help train
and attract its youth into the
industry.
Textile vocational training
can help develop our youth
. . . . your sons .... into responsible
and self-reliant
citizens. It will help him
realize that making a living
is a serious business and that
he must be industrious and
thrifty to be successful. This
course of study, or no other,
can guarantee success, but it
can provide a foundation on
which a capable and energetic
young man can build a
good future.
