Odis Hampton died January 28th in Miami, Fla. He was the nephew of Mrs. Mamie Banks. We miss Ruby Gregory since she has been out sick. Hope she will be back soon. Mrs. Marion Meade returned to work about an operation at Spartanburg General Hospital. Bertie Willis underwent an operation in Greenville General Hospital and is now doing nicely. Frankie Meade had his tonsils removed January 21st and is doing nicely. Carl Lynch has returned to work after a long leave of absence. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Satterfield carried their little girl, Dianne, back to the Roper Hospital in Charleston, S. C., January 17th for a check up. They were accompanied by Mrs. A. J. Satterfield, Earl Satterfield, and Joyce Ginn. Mrs. Blanche Rochester announces the wedding of her brother, A2 c William Bobo to Miss Dora Bortz of Kirksville, Missouri. They were married January 20th in Missouri. Mrs. Wendell Starnes and children visited her mother, Mrs. Sue Hanley, last weekend. Mrs. A^nes Scott spent the weekend in Greenwood, S. C., with her brother, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Prince. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Ficklin and family attended a birthday dinner at Kershaw, S. C., for her mother. Mrs. Philys, last Sunday. We want to welcome to our department Fav Chumbly of Laurens. Happy birthday to Joseph George. He was 12 years old February 8. Mrs. W. M. George was 42 years old February 12th. Mr. W. M. George was 58 years old February 11th. Patsy Ann Bradley was 2 years old January 7th. Peggie Rowe was 17 years old January 17th. Miss Vera Bellue has been a patient at Blalock Clinic. Hurry and get well, Vera, we miss you. Mrs. Myrtice McPeters has returned to her home in Macon, Ga., after spending some time with her daughters and son, Lucille Edmonds and Jack McPeters. Clayton Edmonds is able to be back in school after being ill with flu. i ^ Jyfc mjf^ Dianne celebrated her 7th birthday Jan. 29. She is the daughter of Mrs. Florence Proctor, Clinton No. 3 Spinning. Eddy McPeters has returned home in Warrenville after staying a few weeks with his sister, Mrs. Mary Ellen Woodward. We extend our sympathy to the Heaton family in the death of their father and grandfather, Mr. L. C. Heaton. Mav God comfort you all. Pope are proud to announce the adoption of a babv girl, 1 and one-half years old. Her name is Linda Faye. Mary Earl Roland spent the weekend with her grandmother, Mrs. Julia Wilson. Robert Ballew spent the weekend with his mother, Selma Ballew. Ruby King and Bobby Seyniore visited Elizabeth Holden. Mrs. Clara Smith, mother of Rubv Gentry, has been ill and in the Anderson Hospital, but has improved and returned home. Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Shockley will celebrate their 27th wedding annive sarv February 22. Susan Harmon was 8 years eld December 17. Johnny Harmon was 10 February 16. Ruth Cook had a birthday February 12. Mrs. Janie Harris, mother of Lizzie Harris, is ill at her home. We are glad to have Elizabeth Holden back from a leave of absence. We welcome the new comers to our department: Louise McCoy, Virginia Dixon, Allene Kav, and Leonard Medlin. Kathv Gentry, daughter of Ruby Gentry, is sick. Mrs. Sarah Peavv and family visited her moti in Enoree recently. We are proud to have Monlee Ivester back with us after being out for some time due to an operation which she spent some time in Spartanburg Hospital. We congratulate Myrtle Johnson, who became the bride of Mr. Lester Tucker on December z4th by the Kev. Beaslev. We wish them many years of happiness. Little Dianne Proctor was honored on her 7th birthday with a party given by her classroom at school. She was remembered with several gifts, after which they played games and served refieshments. Mr. and Mrs. Denton Humphries and family visited their daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Childress, in Honea Path last weekend. SP Arlis Meade visited his mother, Mrs. Marion Meade, for 10 days. Mrs. Nettie Praga and daughter of Greenwood spent Sunday recently with Ruby Deadwyler and Lydia Todd.
