A Dangerous Attitude "Either nualitv workman ship?or quantity of production?you can't expect me to get both." This is a fairly common attitude, but a dangerous one. Here is a better way to look at quality. To start with, the product must be made "right". This means that a certain amount of quality workmanship is required. We call this "good work". "Good work" should not be secondary a. d not an "eitheror" proposition. Rather, it must be the number one requirement. Then, eventually, a "good job" should become nearly automatic with every man. r news daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Kernells. Clinton and Ly A few years ago two of our top eastern college basketball teams were meeting in Madison Square Garden to decide the championship of one of the best conferences. Everything was in readiness and both coaches had their players in top shape. The big night came and people were nr'ling around the gates. As one of the teams sat down to a light snack before going to dress, two bovs while talking became angry and a flare-up of tempers resulted. Although both apologized, one still had bad feelings toward the other. After a warm-up period, the game began and from the first you could tell that this one boy was off. His passes were bad and he missed shot after shot. Ordinarily he was almost as near perfect as a player could be but the farther the game went, the more you could tell that he was having a terrible night. The final result was defeat for his team by a small margin in the scores. TIPS ON SAFER Highway traffic accidents k day in our nation. We welcome Rosie Brooks MARCH 15, 1956 dia Teamwork As we look over this story we find that a bad attitude of one boy costs them not only that game but higher national honors. How can this apply to you and me? Any team depends on its members whether it is on the sports field or in an industry. We are all members of our team here at Clin ton and Lydia Mills. The stakes that we play for are high. It's our living and we surely want to succeed. So what happens when a member of our team has a bad day or night? It effects our teamwork and costs us in quality and production which mean business for us. No company is better than those who walk through the doors as employees. Even if management calls the right plays, we must have members out in front to carry the ball. Teamwork is important with us just as on a basketball, football, or baseball team. May we never forget to do our part on this team. ROAD DRIVING ill over a hundred people a ne of these statistics.
