Choral Clubs
Enjoy Dinner
The Clinton and Lydia
Choral Clubs enjoyed a dinner
Saturday evening, February
11, in the Clinton
Community Building dining
room with Mrs. J. V. Lowe
in charge of the entertainment.
Snapdragons a n d small
hearts with a large red heart
center arrangement on the
table, featuring the Valentine
motif, produced a dec
orative effect.
"Danny Boy" was sung by
Mr. A1 Lancaster. The guests
were divided into small
groups which harmonized
competitively on familiar
songs. The winners were
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bagwell
and Mr. and Mrs. A1 Lancaster.
Many games were enjoyed
during the evening. Balloon
popping with much gaiety
climaxed the fun.
Included on the dinner
menu were ice cream arm
cake.

page was suddenly added

Tom reminded her. "'Anyway.

I was dreaming of all the
things that would cut down
my tax."
"Such as?"
"Such as that you presented
me with sextuplets last
New Year's Eve?just in time
to give us a $,'1,600 tax exemption."
"I did WHAT?"
"... and the tax-exempt
interest on all my holdings
of stat e and municipal
bonds," Tom went on. "and
the special credit on about a
million dollars in dividends
