Pony League
Breaks Even
The Academy Street Pony
League of Clinton Mill
youngsters is breaking even
in won and lost games, according
to coach Chuck
Leatherwood.
Fine hitting by Gary Hancock,
Ronnie Brookshire,
Jimmy Hughes, Charles Huey
and Jerry Jove have kept
the team in a tough spot to
beat this year.
Brookshire has turned in
some fine pitching including
a string of nearly 50 strikeouts
in four games. Hughes
also has pitched steady ball
throughout the league season
and all of the above mentioned
boys have been selected
for the All-Star team which
will play Laurens.
