Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Whitmire and family visited Mr. and Mrs. A. W. White. Sr. Mrs. J. L. Wofford of Danville, Va. visited her daughter, Mrs. Hallie Campbell. Mrs. T. R. McElveen attended the wedding of her nieces. Patricia Lowe in Atlanta. June 6. and Joyce Willard. in Whitmire. June 7. Pfc. William Thrift, Jr. spent two weeks at Camp Stewart. Ga. with the South Carolina National Guard. Friends of Wayne Dietz are glad to know he recovered nicely from having his tonsils out. July 7 was the birthday of Gloria Jackson. Mr. and Mrs. Calvert Marsh and children of Columbia visited Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Fuller. Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Fuller, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Cole, of Joanna. visited Oliver General Hospital in Augusta recently. Pvt. Floyd Fuller spent two weeks at Camp Stewart, Ga. with the National Guard. Mr. and Mrs. Capers Gregory attended a birthday dinner in honor of his sister Mrs. T. E. Griffen, of Hickory Tavern. Mozelle Myers observed a birthday June 18 and her little daughter, Melda, had one June 11. We welcome Chiella Granger and Ada Watts to our department. Crowe, mother of your reporter, attended the funeral of her nephew, Isaac Ford, in Laurens. M-Sgt. Ford was killed in Korea April 6. Geneva McCoy was absent from work for a week due to illness. Sorry to report Mrs. Fate Fuller remains qiute ill in the Anderson hospital. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. L.eroy uavis win be mterested to know that Mrs. Davis is a patient at the Spartanburg General Hospital. Mrs. Fred Dickerson and children visited Rev. B. E. Terrell in Madison, S. C. William Bailey spent two weeks with the National Guard at Camp Stewart. Ga. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Whitmire and family enjoyed a birthday dinner in Laurens with Mr. and Mrs. White and family. Miss Kathleen Dees with the Mark Satterfields visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe Moffett and Gary in Columbus. Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Gentry announce the birth of a daughter, Vickie Diane. June 17 at Hays Hospital. Lawrence Woodrow, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Thomason, has returned from the Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Leopard and erand-daughter, Helen, visited relatives in Columbia and Helen remained for a week's visit. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Wessow of Mart.
