Harris visited in Pelzer. Miss Catharine Dunaway of North Greenville Jr. College spent a weekend with her parents, the Brooks Dunawavs. We wish to welcome Van Oxner as our new Second Hand in No. 1 Carding, First Shift. Inez Smitherman is back with us and we are glad to welcome her back. Miriam Glenn has been out sick but is out of the hospital and on the way to recovery. Guess I need some sassafras tea or is it sulphur and molasses you take in the spring? Fay Barker's husband. Nub. has been in the hospital but has returned to work. Their son Carroll is in Charleston for several days visiting Fay's sister, Virginia Spurlock. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Smith celebrated their 18th anniversary May 1. Friends of Mrs. Li la Smith and Mrs. Victor Mattox sympathize with them in the loss of their son and brother at Newberry hospital. Mrs. Estelle Roland received a letter from hnr con Pfc. Gholdie Simmons, saving he flew to Japan for a 5-day rest from Korea where he is stationed. Mable McAlister celebrated a birthday April 16.
