job each month in
providing you with news
of your neighbors and
fellow workers in both
plants. So that you can
know these people better,
this feature each month will
introduce you to some of
the reporters with a brief
sketch about each. This
month we meet a few of the
Clinton Mill group, next
month introducing you to
some at Lydia.?Ed. Note.)
The first reporter we intro
duce you to this month is
Mildred Kinard who is very
well known in the Clinton
Mill where she is a spare weaver
and battery filler in the
weaving department, first
shift.

Mildred Kinard
Mildred and her husband,
Oscar, live at 506 Sloan street
and they both are members
of Calvary Baptist church.
Oscar also works at Clinton
in No. 1 weaving. Mildred
also has eight other relatives
working for Clinton-Lydia. A
native of Clinton, she has
worked here since 1941. They
have one son.
Mrs. Kinard is a great baseball
fan and an interested
member of the Clinton Wo
man s Ulub.

Dorsey Turner
Dorscy Turner is our capable
reporter on the first shift
in the Clinton cloth room
where he works as a grader.
He and his wife. Inez, live at
701 Jefferson street. Incidentally,
Inez is a weaver at Clinton
with ten year's experience
but she is on a leave of absence
right now.
Dorsey has worked in the
cloth room since 19JO and he
is a native of rOintnn Tlw>
Dorsevs have four children,
two boys and two girls. He
says his favorite hobbies are
music and rocking babies, and
this last hobbv may give you
an idea of why Inez now is
on leave of absence.

Watkins
Mrs. Jennie Watkins handles
all of the news from No. 1
spinning on the first shift at
Clinton where she is a spinner.
A native of Greer, S. C.,
Mrs. Watkins lives at 405
Sloan street and she is a
member of the Baptist
church.
Jennie is a veteran employee.
having worked at Clinton
for the past 32 years. She has
seven relatives also employed
at Clinton-Lydia. She has one
son.
Her favorite hobbies are
reading and sports.
Lydia Campfires Have
Entered Contest
The Lydia Campfire Girls
have added four new members
during the past month
and are holding their weekly
meetings each Tuesday at 5
o'clock.
The Lydia group has entered
a contest with the national
Campfire organization in
which they will sell greeting
cards. First prize in the contest
is a four-weeks vacation
at a Campfire girl camp, plus
Sfifl in mch TVarn-o aro
other prizes and the Lydia
group is hoping to capture
some of them.
Youth Night
"Youth Night" in the Clinton
village is growing by
leaps and bounds as the teen
agers gather in the community
building each Saturday
night.
Volley ball and horse shoe
have been added to the many
other pastimes enjoyed by
this group.
A big Hallowe'en carnival
is being planned for the last

Every teen-ager in the village
is invited to the fun sponsored
each Saturday night bv the
Clinton Woman's Club.
MR. AND MRS. BARDY Cannon
are two of our newly-weds
at the Clinton plant. They were
married August 30.
