Folger and Miss Eilene Taylor, which -takes plaee in the Pickens Bap tist church on June 8th. -. . -Paul Howard, residing on Jonas Simmons' place, above a Pickens. was taken sick Friday 3 and died Monday night from acute indigestion, and was s buried the day following his death at Shady Grove church. t] He was about 28 years old, and m leaves a wife and two children.. d -Don't fail to attend the d memorial exercises at Cross Roads on May 30th. F@Ashmore, in Piclgens, on~ the, rporning of Saturday, 21st inst., after a short illness, and was burled the evening following in the Pickens cemetei'y. To thee bereaved relatives and heart broken parents the sympathy of our community is extended, a "Suffer little children to come unto Me and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of ii Heaven." ti -The many friends in Pick ens of Mrs. Florine Bolt Norris, ~ of Central, will deeply sym pa- 0 thise with her in her trouble of being the innocent cause of the s death of one child and the seri ous .injury of another4 on the t 18th inst., with her autqjnobile, near Central. It seems that the little sons of Mr. J. F. Puckett and Mr. S. A, Kelley were play- a ing in the road,the Puckett boy 1B pulling the Kelley lad in a small 11 wagon. There is a bend in the d road, hid by a bank, and as Mrs, " N. came around this curve the pI children, who were trying, it w seems, to get out of the road, b< were run over. The Pnckett H] boy undertook to pull the wagon a1 with his playmate (Kelly) in it, s' up an incline, when the tongue of the wagon slipped out of his et hand and the cart rolled in -the ai path of the running machine. jm The Puckett boy, in attempting et to again get hold of the cart; i was killed, while the Kelly child fc was seriously hurt, but it is of thought he will reover.
