-We publish an article this
week, telling of the wedding

there was nothing selling. The
Qounty Farmers Union was
scheduled to meet but very few
braved the inclemency of the
weather to attend. By the way
the boys who were all such good
union men several years ago,
are, somehow, losing interest in
the movement, and the organi
zation is losing out as a congse
quence.- The Farmers Union is
one of the mainstays and sup
ports of the farmers, and should
be well filled with Members and
kept up to the high standard
that was aimed at when it was
first organized. Are you a
member in good standing? If
not, why not? Come in and
join, you non-union farmer.

In Memoriam.
Died at her home in our city,
Sunday night at about 9 o'clock
little Mary, beloved daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Hester,
aged one year.
"Ah. Oh. who, awear-. may we be so
blr.
And sink lik- the innocent child to rest.
An.1 feel ours-ives clasped to the Infinite
breast."
Thus over the happy home
the shadow of a little grave has
fallen; and, as another has said,
it is wonderful how long a
shadow a little grave can throw.
This beautiful baby life was
so precious, so fraught with
blessing to her parents that she
seemed a flower of Paradise per.
mitted to bloom for a brief sea
son by their side, then recalled
to its nature skies, leaving the
earth road for them dark and
lonely indeed.
.,And when the messenger
:ame from tie unseen lands to
laim the dainty darling as his,
wn:.
"Sheonly crossed .her little hands,
th'In lockeed ipore meek and fair,
Wer pirted back her gilken hair.
We4 wdre tne roses round her brow,
Wite buds, the summers drifted snow,
Wrapt her.from2 head to foot it' flowers,
And thus she went out of this world of
ours"
Thie remains were interred at
he family-.burving ground, Rev.

Birthday Party.
Quite an enjoyable occasion
was that at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. P. C. Cartee on the
th inst., being the birthday of

He was remembered by all who
ttended with a present. 'They
lso had a quilting.
A nice dinner was prepared
y Mrs. Cartee, who was com
limented by every one for her
splendid cooking.
All were glad to have our
pastor, Rev. Howard, of Liberty
Baptist church, with them for
inner.
The occasion was greatly en
oyed by all who were present,
ad hope we will all have that
leasure once more. We wish
im many more such happy
irthdays. A Participant.

It is a well known fact that a plow to work successfully in
any soil must be built to meet all the conditions that are pe
culiar to the ground in which the plow is to be used.
The first plows that came into this locality were not the
successes that our up-to-date plows are now. They were,
indeed, very crude as compared with them.
We have kept a very strict watch on the plow business.
We have made it an especial study. We have made it our
business to study all the different makes that come into this
locality. Therefore, after having seen all the plows work, ob
serving every little detail, things that would escape the notice
of most men, it is not to be wondered at that we know the
plows that do the best work. Having found the right plow,
we secured the exclusive agency for it. This plow is the
CHATTANOOGA
The makers of this plow fully guarantee the working
qualities of it. They are the men that not only know how to
make plows, BUT MAKE THEM. No matter what you want,
you can get it in the CHATTANOOGA..
To the makers' guarantee we add our personal guarantee.
to give you entire satisfaction. If it does not, all we ask is
that you. return it to us. It does not cost you a penny if you
are not pleased. Is that fair?
Come in and consult us about Plows
