points, six rebounds and al
most three assists per game.
To put that into perspective,
last year’s ROY, Amare
Stoudemire, put up 13.5 points,
8.7 rebounds and just one assist
per game. Unlike Lebron, Melo
was able to lead his team to the
promised land — the NBA
Playoffs.
Some pundits use this fact to
argue that Melo should win
ROY.
Well, do you think if the two
players switched teams that
LeBron couldn’t have taken the
Nuggets? Or that Carmelo
could have had the same re
• suits with the Cavs?
So who is the real winner?
Why, the fans, of course.
LeBron and Carmelo are both
once-in-a-generation speci
mens, and we are fortunate
enough to have the opportunity
to witness the unlimited po
tential of both their careers.
