The complainant said someone
unzipped his Jeep window and
took a Sony CD player and a
Quicjcsilver watch. Estimated
value: $33C. Reporting officer: G.

Wednesday, Sept. 17

BUILDING, 1705 COLLEGE ST.
The complainant said someone
took a brown Nautica wallet
from his book bag without
permission. The complainant
said the wallet contained $25, a
USC ID card, a driver’s license
and a Blockbuster card.

BARNWELL ST. The victim said
Latoya Falonda Williams was
observed by resident adviser
Kelly Myles throwing her clothes
in the trash. The RA removed a
red shirt and a yellow shirt from
the trash can. Four bathing suits
and an indefinite amount of
undergarments were missing
from the victim’s room. A
statement was given by both the
subject and the victim. The
residence hall director and USC
Housing were notified.

victim said someone took a black
Nike book bag containing two
notebooks, one pair of grayish
platinum Fubu shorts, one black
wallet containing $80, a
Wachovia Visa ATM card, a
Capital One Credit Card, a USC
ID card, a Chase credit card and
a gray and black Nokia cell
phone. Estimated value: $150.
The victim said his car was

AUTO BREAK-IN, URCENY OF

ADAPTER, 1700 BLOSSOM ST.
The vicjjgi said someone broke
out the right front window of her
car and took a cell phone
charger/mobile adapter device
and a seashell necklace.

Q Saturday, Sept. 20
SIMPLE ASSAULT AND BATTERY,
MUTUAL COMBAT, DISORDERLY
CONDUCT, FIFTH FLOOR SOUTH
TOWER, 614 BULL ST. The first
victim said she was pushed by
James Hagan Richmond at South
Tower as Richmond was trying
to find Stanley S. Washington.
The first victim then called 911.
Police said Washington, along
with Davis Cleckly Dolan, were
previously involved in a fistfight
on the fifth floor of South Tower.
Police said Dolan and Richmond
had left South Tower and then
had come back to find
Washington. Upon arriving at
South Tower, reporting officer
J.D. Rosier saw Richmond and
Dolan attempting to flee the
scene. Rosier said he detected an
odor of alcohol on both people,
and they both had bloodshot
eyes. Police said both subjects
were uncooperative, and while
attempting to determine their
involvement, they began
cursing, yelling and creating a
disturbance. There were people
sitting outside the dorm as well
as others coming from and going
in South Tower. Police said both
Richmond and Dolan refused to
follow any instructions. Police
said Richmond was told he was
under arrest for disorderly
conduct and to turn around with
his hands behind his back. Police
said Richmond refused to
comply, at which point Rosier
grabbed his arm. Police said
Richmond then pulled way from
Rosier, so Rosier grabbed his
arm again. Police said Richmond
then began to struggle in an
attempt to get away from Rosier,
so Richmond was taken to the
ground and then handcuffed.
Police said Dolan was also
arrested for disorderly conduct.
First Responder was notified and
checked out Richmond, Dolan
and Washington. Police said all
three refused medical treatment
from Richland County EMS
personnel and that all three were
advised on how to obtain a
warrant for the mutual combat if
they wished to do so. Police said
Richmond continued to be loud
and boisterous after being placed
in the patrol car, cursing and
yelling out the window. Police
said Richmond also threatened
he was going to have Rosier
fired
@ AUTO BREAK-IN, PETIT
LARCENY, LEVEL THREE,
BLOSSOM STREET GARAGE.
While patrolling level three of
Blossom Street Garage,
reporting officers E. A. Adkins
and R. A. Whitlock received a call
for service via radio from the
USC Police in reference to an
auto break-in that had just
occurred on level three. While on
the scene, a suspect vehicle
description was given as a light
blue Chevy Astro van. This van
was seen backing out rather
quickly after a bystander heard
the glass break. The officers
quickly spotted the suspect
vehicle and ordered the suspect,
Kenneth Meeks Finch, out of the
car. The suspect was placed
under investigation detention.
Adkins saw that the suspect had
several cuts on his right hand
with blood running down his
right wrist. The suspect’s
wounds were cleared, and the
suspect was placed inside the
patrol car. Adkins then looked
inside the suspect’s car and in
plain view was a gray speaker
box on the rear seat. The suspect
was arrested and given the
Miranda warning. The suspect
said he understood his Miranda
rights and wanted to talk to the
officers. The suspect said that he
was sold the speakers, and that
his friend, who he said was with
him, had departed with the
person who had sold him the
speakers. During the
investigation, the officers .
notified the victim who did
positively identify the speaker
box as his property. While
conducting an inventory search
of the suspect vehicle, several
items were found. A tire iron was
found on the passenger’s-side
floorboard, which did match pry
marks on the victim’s
passenger’s-side rear-door vent
window. A bloody piece of tissue
was found near the tire iron. A
small, clear plastic baggy with
small traces of blood on it was
found inside the driver’s door
handle. The victim’s car was
then processed by Adkins.
Adkins saw small traces of blood
on the rear seat in the carpet. A

The victim said that the pry
marks were fresh damage. A
chain custody form was
completed in reference to the tire
iron, plastic bag and bloody
tissue that was recovered as
evidence from the suspect’s car.
A search incident to arrest of the
suspect revealed a flat-head
screwdriver recovered from the
suspect’s right front pocket. This
item was recorded and placed in
evidence. The suspect was
charged with auto break-in and
petit larceny. Estimated damage
to the victim’s car was $200.
Estimated value of the speakers
was $200.

LARCENY, 1501 PENDLETON ST.
The victim said that someone
entered her car and took a
Panasonic face cover to a CD
player and CDs. No forced entry.

SIMPLE POSSESSION OF
MARIJUANA, 1001 GEORGE
ROGERS BLVD. Reporting officer:
D. Hare responded to a complaint
of disorderly conduct. Hare was
escorting Shawn Alan Marsh out
of the stadium when Marsh
became combative and ran from
Hare. Hare as able to subdue
Marsh. The Richland County
Sheriff’s Department and other
USCPD officer assisted in
handcuffing Marsh. Upon a
search incident to arrest, a
substance was found that was
believed to be marijuana.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 1000
GEORGE ROGERS BLVD. (OFF
MAP) While on routine patrol,
reporting orncer j.m. Simmons
made contact with Todd
Komoroski. The subject had a
strong odor of alcohol about him
and had blood shot eyes, slurred
speech and was extremely
unsteady on his feet. The subject
began behaving loudly and
boisterously and screaming
profanity. The subject was
arrested, handcuffed and
charged with disorderly conduct.
ABC VIOLATION, 1000 GEORGE
ROGERS BLVD. (OFF MAP) The
subject, Andrew M. Smith, was
in possession of liquor. The
subject was arrested.

SUMTER ST. The complainant
said that Anthony Jones and
Daniel Storey committed a
housing violation by starting a
fire in a small grill to cook out on
a balcony. The subjects put the
fire out and were sent to student
discipline by Housing staff. No
visible damage to the structure.

ST., KIRKLAND APARTMENTS.
The complainant said that
during his routine patrol, he
found the front left sliding door
open. During a walk-through,
reporting officer N. DeHaai
found the rear glass by the back
door was broken out. There was
one door leading to the balcony
on second floor open and one
window on rear of building open.
All doors and windows were re
secured. Estimated damage: $50.

entered his unsecured room and
took a silver 19-inch Magnavox
TV/VCR combo. Estimated

that someone entered his car by
prying open the right-side
passenger window and took one

COURT. The victims say they
were involved in an armed
robbery at Gibbes Court.

victim said someone shot at his
sliding door with a BB gun while
he was in his room. The outside
pane of the glass door has a small
hole and is completely shattered.

someone took the following from
under the bleachers: a brown

Clarke responded to a fire alarm
at Patterson Hall. Clarke
encountered the subject, Meagan
Ashley Miller in-the lobby. She
directed Clarke to her room. The
subject told Clarke that she had
left a burning candle unattended
for only a moment. Upon her
return, she discovered a small
fire. Clarke saw evidence of the
same. Columbia Fire Department
was notified and en route. The
building was evacuated. Housing
staff came to Patterson and took
photographs of the room and
damage. Fire damage was
contained by the student. The
damage was limited to the'bed
and desk area of the room. Clarke
was informed by Housing staff
and the Hall director that
appropriate notifications and
protocols will be taken on their
end.
Tuesday, Sept. 23
EJ DUI, HIT AND RUN, CAPSTONE
HOUSE METER PARKING LOT,
902 BARNWELL ST. A Sizemore
security officer called USCPD.
She stated that the subject,
Brandon M. Macaluso, while
attempting to park his car,
struck a total of four cars.
Reporting officers J.M. Simmons
and J. A. Clarke found the subject
unconscious in his room because
