This spring, the USC equestri
an team will face a challenging
slate of several prime opponents.
Boo Duncan, in her fourth
year as coach, will lead her rid

Western competitions. Carolina
is placed in Zone 5, Region 2 and
will face schools such as
Clemson, Auburn, Georgia,
Berry College and Judson. The
Gamecocks hold the zone lead in
Hunt Seat and are fourth in
Western after two outings this
season.
This weekend, they will head
out to Berry College in Rome,
Ga., for a competition featuring
both styles.

The Gamecocks have fared
well in both outings this season.

at Judson College’s Western com

who won both her beginning
horsemanship contests, and
freshman Kerrie Reeves, who
placed in both Advanced II con

Lindsey Weathers finished first
in Intermediate II Section 2.
At USC’s recent tournament,
featuring both Western and Hunt
Seat, Carolina placed third in
Hunt Seat and fourth in Western.
In Hunt Seat, first-place finish

This spring’s competitions
should provide an interesting
glimpse at how the remainder of
the season will go. Under the
guidance of Duncan, the USC
equestrian team will be ready to
take on the other squads from
across the South.
