Police Stop Eminem
Show in Scotland
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND (AP)
- Police had to temporarily
stop an Eminem concert after
45 people were injured when
the audience surged forward as
the controversial rap star came
on stage.
None of the injuries from the
Saturday concert were serious.
Police said eleven people were
taken to local hospitals and
released after treatment. The
others were treated at first aid
tents set up around the outdoor
concert site.
Eminem, who was asked by
police to stay backstage until
the injured people were
removed from the crowd, was
allowed to continued his show
at Glasgow’s “Gig in the
Green” festival after a 30
minute break.
“Eminem and his band did
all they could to help the
situation, and we are grateful
for his support,” a spokesman
for Strathclyde police said.
Some 30,000 people attended
the first day of the two-day rock
festival, whichprotesters
targeted Saturday. Religious
groups said they were
protesting what they called the
“anti-Christian message” in
shows by the Detroit rapper
Eminem and Marilyn Manson.
Acts scheduled to perform
Sunday include Iggy Pop,
Green Day and Travis.

“It is my hope he will be able to

Bluntman and Chronic Strike
Back. (Bluntman and Chronic

Along the way, movie refer

make this feel like The Muppet

drugs.
Without a doubt, Smith
made this movie solely for his
fans. In a world where most di

almighty dollar, Smith wants
only to thank the people who
helped him get where he is.
While it’s sad to see Jay,
Silent Bob and the rest of the
Askewniverse go, Kevin Smith
will always be writing witty di
alogue and directing the best
damn movies he can. Cheers,
Kevin.

stick around after the credits -
it’s worth it.
