Directories
from page 1
When asked why we should print a
phone book at all, since by the time they
come out most students already have thfe
phone numbers they want, Brewer said,
“People are going to meet new people
all year. If you happen to need to get a
hold of someone in class, you can use the
directories.”
The new phone books have an artist’s
rendering of the new Greek housing that
is planned for behind the Strom Thur
mond Fitness and Wfellness Center, Brew
er said, construction of which won’t be
gin until next year.
For next year, Brewer said that it’s
not yet final if USC will try to get the
books done before students arrive at
school. But like always, he assured, stu
dent feedback will be taken into consid
eration.
Brewer said that in the future, it might
be possible not to print the directory at
all.
“There are a lot of things we can put
on the Internet and save money by not
printing, but for now there is no plan to
stop publishing the directories.”
