Drunkneness and disorderly conduct,
Youman Street. The subject called the Co
lumbia Police Department and said he had
cut someone while cat the 2500 block of
Greene Street. When the responding offi
cer arrived, the subject had a seven-foot
A pipe in his hand and was being loud and
^ boistereous while walking along the street
The subject was ordered to place the pipe
on the ground, but didn’t. The subject was
then arrested.
Shophftag, Market Express, Elmwood Av
enue. The complainant stated that an un
known subject entered the incident loca
tion and removed four can of Vienna
Sausages from the cooler. The subject th.cn
left the premises without paying for the
items and fled the scene.
Wednesday, August 9
Threatening a public official unlawful
weapon possession, simple possession of
marijuana and disanJeriy conduct, Willow
Run Apartments. The responding officer
hear 10 to 15 gunshots at the incident lo
cation aid ran to the rear of the building.
The officer smelled gun powder and ob
served subjects one and two walking from
the area The officer commanded them to
stop and discovered a plastic containing a
green, leafy substance believed to be
marijuana sticking out from subject one’s
waistbaid. Subject two started screaming
at the officer, calling him a “cracker” and
using profane language.
Sample assault, Piowden Road. The vicx
tim stated that the subject started a veibal
altercation with her, at which time the vic
tim tried to leave the bui lding. The subject
followed the victim outside, where he
b^tan to shout obscenities and throw rocks
at the victim, striking the victim on the left
side of the liead. The victim continued to
flee on foot, outrunning the subject. She
notified the authorities once die made it to
her home.
Shoplifting under $1,000, Gamers Ferry
Road. The complainant reported that an
unknown white male pumped $24 of gaso
line into a vehicle and drove off without
paying.
Tuesday, August 8
• Auto breaking, petit larceny, malicious
injury to personal property, McDuffie Av
enue. The complainant reported that an
unknown subject using unknown means
broke the left side rear vent window for
her car. Once inside, the the subject re
mooved 30 compact discs and then at
tempted, unsuccessfully, to remove a JVC
AM/FM radio/CD player from the dash
board. The subject caused damage to the
stereo system and the vehicle’s dash
board
Estimated value and damages: $860.
