Alumni, faculty, students and staff
would comprise a “team effort” to carry
out the improvement process, he said.
Hanly said the revision of docurtients
and brochures must be accomplished to
produce “a clear, concise and complete
story of what’s available at USC.”
The graduate program celebrated its
25th anniversary Nov. 9.

plainant reported that the two
subjects got into a veibal alter
cation. One of them threw a
beer bottle at the other, but
missed, breaking a pane of glass in a window near the entrance
door instead. The subject who threw to bottle admitted to it.
Estimated value: $10.
Nov. 15
Vicious animal, Kingswood Drive. The victim reported thait
he when he went out into his front yard to look for his cat,
two pit bulls attempted to attack him. The victim said he swung
a cane, striking one of the dogs. He then chased the animals
down the street to their owner’s residence. The victim wasn’t
bitten.
Malicious injury to personal property, Avondale Drive. The
complainant said she left her residence in the morning to find
that all four tires on her vehicle were flat. She tried to inflate
them with tire foam, but it only identified obvious cuts
made by a blade. The complainant waited several hours be
fore calling the police department, but didn’t say why. She
said she had no idea who might have damaged her vehicle.
Drunkenness, Schoolhouse Road. The reporting officer was
dispatched to an apartment, which the drunken suspect was
refusing to leave. The apartment’s resident said the suspect
didn’t live at the address. The suspect had a strong odor of
alcohol on his breath and person, was unsteady on his feet and
had urinated on himself. He was taken into custody and trans
ported to the Richland County Detention Center.
Nov. 14
Malicious damage to real property, trespassing and violation
of order of protection, Brook Pines Drive. The victim said the
suspect came to the front door of her residence, where she
denied him entry and told him to leave. The suspect then went
to the rear of the residence and knocked out the sliding glass
door with a cane to gain entry. Once inside, the suspect bel
ligerently questioned a male guest of the victim but then left
the residence when he saw that the victim was calling the po
lice. The victim said she’ll prosecute. An order of protec
tion issued by the Richland County family court prohibits the
suspect from entering the victim’s residence or trying to com
municate with her.
Harassing phone call, Waverly Street. The complainant said
his son answered a phone call at his residence. The female
caller reportedly said, “You are as good as dead!” before hang
ing up. The complainant said he didn’t know whether the call
was addressed to his son or to himself.
