The Spurs and Knicks begin their
best-of-7 championship series Wednesday
night at the Alamodome.
Though the top-seeded Spurs are
11-1 in the playoffs and swept the Los
Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers
to reach the finals, San Antonio's
players say they aren't overlooking the
capabilities of the Knicks, the eighthseeded
team in the East.

the first time since 1994, when New

injuiy-free this season, the Knicks
have been anything but. Johnson suffered
a sprained ligament in his right
knee Friday. It will be a game-time decision
