Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen
were kicking butt and taking names
last week. "We're taking back our company,"
Arn Anderson said, on
"Thunder."
However, their attempts to continue
on their warpath on "Nitro" Monday
night were stifled by the executive
power of Eric Bischoff. Bischoff
used local law enforcement to keep
the Four Horsemen off the air this
week. Bischoff went on to attack the
"Nature Boy," calling him a coward
for "living vicariously through his 10year-old
son." That confrontation highlighted
"WCW Monday Nitro" this
week.
The feud, which began in
Greenville on Sept. 14, has really heated
up since Flair's return. It is welldocumented
that Flair was fired by
Bischoff last April for missing a "Thunder"
taping. Actually, Flair was with
his son Reid at an amateur wrestling
tournament in Minnesota. Those verbal
actions taken by Bischoff on "Nitro"
most likely will come back to haunt
him somewhere down the road, as the
Horsemen don't take too kindly to such
bad-mouthing, especially from a nonwrestler
like Bischoff.
Bret "The Hitman" Hart was
scheduled to get his first shot at "Hollywood"

Page later gave an interview with
"Mean" Gene Okerlund in which he
further informed us on how excited he
is about his title shot against Goldberg.
That match'should be a tremendous
matchup, as Goldberg's perfect
record will once again be on the line.

"We're glad to be home after two
road games.
We've just got some guys that are
still injured in the season, but most of
them will play this week. It's been a
long four games, but we're just looking
forward to playing at home again,
and hopefully we'll get some of their
guys back 100 percent.
"They're [USC] a better team than
what they've shown. They've had injuries
in the secondary, they've had guys
that have played hard; just good things
haven't happened to them. They've
made mistakes. Thev do a good iob
coaching.
"I know what they're going through.
We went through three quarters of it
last week and they're gone though a
couple games of just making mistakes,
but they're on the road for the first time
and I'm sure they're looking forward to
playing another SEC game and it will
be a good battle.
"They've got an excellent quarterback
in [Anthony] Wright.

getting better and better. A lot of people

arrived at the top.
You might ask why Plummer chose
South Carolina to continue her volleyball
experiences.
"Everything just fell into place," she
said. "The coaching staff here is wonderful,
so are the volleyball facilities. The team
chemistry is great, both on and off the court"
Plummer believes that having such a
close knit team can only help them on the
court. According to Plummer, her best volleyball
memory is from the recent match
against Clemson, where she had 20 kills to
lead the Gamecocks to a 3-0 vicotry. According
to her, the rivalry and the competition
of the game made it very exciting.
Although only a freshman, Plummer is
leading the team in kills and service aces
and was named to all three All-Tournament
teams this month (Carolina Classic,
adidas/Sooner Invitational, Tennessee-Chattanooga
Invitational). She has also been avital
part in the Gamecocks' early-season
success, helping lead them to a 13-1 start.
Although she loves the sport, volleyball
doesn't make up her entire life. She also
enjoys other leisure activities, such as jet
skiing, water skiing and drawing. She likes
to use her spare time to relax, travel or hang
out with her friends.
Plummer has given some thought to
playing volleyball professionally and doesn't
want to close any doors on playing in the
future. However, she is looking carefully
at her career choices. She may becoifie a
teacher or even a coach when her volleyball
career has ended.
Plummer and the rest of the Gamecocks
will be in action tonight when they host
Davidson in a 7 p.m. match at the Volleyball
Competition Facility.
