According to Jeffcoat, BellSouth
and the university are in a proposed
sale/donation agreement. The building
and land site will be offered to the university
at a lower price than the market
value.
The acquisition will include 1600
Hampton Street, the adjacent five stoly
parking garage containing 253 spaces
and the adjacent three story annex
building. The main office building of
the complex is eight stories with a full
basement with an aooroximate souare
feet totaling 253,234, Jeffcoat said.
"The benefits of the acquisition include
continued master plan development,
consolidation of support functions

relief of demand for core campus parking,"
