Both were named to the firstteam All-SEC Saturday by the conference. Ecker was one of the SEC's top players this season with four top-10 finishes and seven top-20 finishes. Ecker said he felt the team was ready to challenge for the title in the final round. "We felt like we has some momentum from yesterday, and we were looking forward to playing today," Ecker said. Despite the disappointment of not getting a chance to capture the title, Blackmon was optimistic of the team's future. "We came up a shot short, but we'll be back," Blackmon said.
