tips for safety around campus:
Don't leave keys around.
Avoid short cuts when walking

Long said the bookstores also
have to cover overhead, personnel costs,
salaries for workers, utility costs, postage
and freight.
"Any business that is labor intensive
has high costs," Long said.

Long would not give the exact percentage,
however.
Some students also complained that,
when professors order books from only
one bookstore, this creates a monopoly
which allows that bookstore to hike
prices even more. Long, however, denied
this was the case.
"If instructors order exclusively from
us, we welcome it," he said, "but we
won't price the book any differently than
if all the bookstores have it."
"I paid the same price for a new book
as I did for a book that looked like it
had been through hell and back. Something
isn't right there," business major
Richona Smith said.
