Michele Marinkovic said "Meet Your
Student Government Day" and the bulletin
boards are convenient ways for
Student Government to meet with
the students.
There's 26,000 students. We want
to make ourselves available to those
who are interested," Marinkovic said.
She suggested students stop by the
Student Government office if they have
any concerns.

passed by senate do not affect the students
and the senate should do more

stuff."

Dickerson.

"It's ridiculous that I had to
bring my entire computer to another
building for computer services to work
on it, and I'm still having problems,"
Mullins said.

Student Government Treasurer
Susanne Newman said she understands
how students like Mullins feel, but she
believes the problem will get better.
"With registration going online,
that's going to demand for students to
learn how to use the Internet and computer
labs to be ODen more, so Com
puter Services is going to have to offer
more help," Newman said.
Another concern students had was
the technology fee.
Denig thinks the fee should pay
for something to benefit all students
since all students pay the fee.
"We all paid the fee, but the money
went to a couple of security systems
in a few dorms," he said.
Student Government President
Jamel Franklin believes registration
online, and eventually paying fees online,
will make better use of the technology
fees.
"We need to make sure students
see the benefits of these fees," Franklin
said.
Students agreed with the petitions
Student Government was circulating
to cancel classes on Martin Luther King
Jr. Day and to extend the library hours.
Albrecht hopes we get Martin
Luther King Jr. day off in respect of the
civil rights leader.
"It's disrespectful to the AfricanAmerican
community and one of our
