vith Brad Snyder finishing 14th in the
shot put in Sicily, Italy.
Ellerbe's toss of 61.10 meters (about

Student Tickets
The University of South Carolina
Athletic Department announced on
Tuesday that today is the last day for
Student Ticket Distribution at the Russell
House.
The Central Florida game is the only
home game that is being distributed
to students at this time.
Only several hundred tickets remain,
and only a handful of regular tickets
remain for the game.
So the Athletic Department is urging
students to pick up their tickets
as early as possible tomorrow, because
any tickets that are not picked up by
4 p.m. tomorrow will go on sale to the
general public.
And the Athletic officials advise that
there is a large demand for tickets to
the Gamecocks season opener and that
any tickets that will be made available
to the public will go quickly.
They expect there to be no student
tickets available at the box office on
game day.
So if you want to experience first
hand the excitement of 2001 and Carolina
football then hurry up to the Second
Floor of the Russell House between
9-4 today to get you tickets.
Central Florida is not only the home
opener, but it also is the only home game
for the Gamecocks in September.
The football team will be gone for
the next three weeks as they will
travel to Georgia, East Carolina, and
Mississippi State.
After Central Florida, the next home
game will not be until October 4, against
Auburn.
And remember the Central Florida
game is televised so this game is your
first big chance to get on TV and show
mom and dad how you are spending
your time at college.
