Child abuse in

If s the end of April We are
thinking of finals, summer jobs
or summer classes and saying
goodbye to friends for three
months.
But how many of us
remembered April has been
the month dedicated to the
prevention of child abuse?
Perhaps child abuse does not
affect us at this age; we are
not children, nor, for the most
part, do we have any. We are
more concerned about HIV
and AIDS prevention, drug

the phone and call the
Department of Social Services.

Finally.
This is the man who turned
a country around with his 13point
plan. This is a man who
was able to inspire hope in a
country plagued by tne woes
of the infamous Great
Depression- This is a man who
was elected president by voters
an amazing four times?
something which had not been
done before and will never be
done again.
And, he did all of this not
just as President, but as a
handicapped President
confined to a wheelchair.
Here's where the problem
pops up. The statue of FDR
has him sitting down in a chair,
with no inkling of his handicap
except some almost invisible
braces on his legs. President
Clinton and others want
another statue for the
monument showing FDR in
a wheelchair, which is entirely
