Of the eight men's teams, USC and UNC are the highest-ranked teams competing at No. 4 in the nation. Hambrick has been suspended indefinitely from the football team until the charges are resolved. Tharp said the suspension is routine whenever an athlete is charged with a criminal offense. Hambrick played in all 11 games as a true freshman for the Gamecocks in 1996. He was the team's second-leading rusher with 43 carries for 286 yards and five touchdowns.
