ACHIM HUNT Sports Editor
Students want to show their school
spirit in many ways. They make posters,
scream obnoxiously, and even some are
brave enough to paint themselves.
Only the best of the students have
the opportunity to leave their mark in
one place that all students want toSportsCenter.
The best of the students with high
levels of school spirit at USC are those
that are involved in the Student
Gamecock Club.
The Student Gamecock Club was
formed at USC a few years ago while it
membership has increased tremendously.
This year there are over 500 members.
The best part of the club is the low
$20 dues that are charged at the start
of each school year.
For that money you receive three top
quality tee-shirts and a decal to place
on your car.
In addition to that the students get
to tour Williams-Brice Stadium. This
year's tour took place last night.

to the new zone lounge between the
South endzone upper and lower decks.
Then they got a view from the new
"In the Zone" seats, and from the view
that we saw, well let's just say it was
awesome.
The tour continued to the west side
were members visited a luxury box that
was had 16 plush seats, eight bar stools,
and a full kitchen and bathroom.
The day ended with a catered
hamburger cookout under the South
endzone bleachers.
The next big project for the Student
Gamecock Club will be year two of the
"Cockpit" at the home basketball games.
The "Cockpit" will be headlined by
those painted people nicknamed "Eddie's
Idiots" and more affectionately known
by the Lady Gamecock volleyball team
as the "Ballheads."
