All of this Universities Greek
organizations are involved in some
way or another with a charity or

These brothers and sisters

these groups, all of which are
worthwhile.
People do like to make fun of

Dole also used his visit to

"partial birth abortion" is a term
created by politicians, not doctors,
to describe a late term abortion
procedure.

Each Fraternity or Sorority
has a local and a national
philanthropic organization. And,
often times they are connected
with these organizations because
of something that has happened
to a brother or a sister in the past.
Our University has 16,000
undergraduates, with around
3,000 being involved in a fraternity i
or sorority. That's 3,000 students
that are directly involved in some
kind of community service.
How many of our other 12,000
students are directly involved in
community service? Even though
many are, it's certainly not all of
them. Are you one of those people
who is or isn't involved in
community service? Think about
that.
Yeah, greek groups have a
reputation for philandering rather
than philanthropizing. But, they
seem to give back to the
community as well, which is a
point in their favor.

Women need to make their
political presence known. They
need to stay abreast of current
political issues so they can make
an informed decision at the ballot
box on Nov. 5.
It is especially important lor
women make it to the ballot box
in both local and national elections
so politicians will take them
seriously and address women's
issues.
There is no such thing as the
"year of the woman." Women are
an important part of every election
and should be treated as such.
