Blease Graham Jr. has been
named Dean of the College of Criminal
Justice.
Graham, who has served as interim
dean of the college since
1994, was selected after a national
search.
President John Palms said, "As
a teacher, scholar and administrator,
Blease Graham has served Carolina
in an exemplary fashion, especially
in his assignment as interim
dean."
. Palms said, "It's a compliment
to the university that, after a national
search, we have again found
the best candidate for a dean's position
from within our university."
In 1991, Graham was named
associate dean for student academic
affairs in the College of Hu- L_
manities and Social Sciences.
He held that post until he was \
named by Palms as Interim Dean *
of the College of Criminal Justice
in 1994.
Graham earned his bachelor's
decree from Wofford College, a ]e(
master's degree in governmental
administration from the Universi- gjj
ty of Pennsylvania and his doctor- Pc
ate in political science from USC. Ve
