ADim SNYDER Staff Writer
As winter commencement
approaches, seniors should have
their resume ready to use as a
tool to get their first job.
Entering the job market
immediately after graduation
requires preparation, and prepa
ration begins from the start of
your college career.
According to Mike Hix, director
of career planning at the
Career Center, students should
begin work on their resume early.
It should be "growing, developing,
and changing during the college
experience" just as the student
has. From this growth, the
resume serves as a "marketing
tool" to introduce oneself to
employers.
"A resume communicates to
the potential employer the kind of
position a student is seeking.
