officials will receive a copy of the NCAA
Appeals Committee decision Thursday,
said Culpepper Clark, assistant to
university president Roger Sayers.
Alabama presented its appeal of three
years' probation to the appeals committee
in Atlanta on Nov. 16. The school is trying
to get its one-year postseason ban and
the third year of probation lifted.
Alabama also was docked as many
as 30 scholarships over three years and
forced to forfeit 111993 games in which
Antonio Langham played while ineligible.
The penalties stemmed fro Langham's
dealings with an agent and improper
loans received by former player Gene
Jelks.
