Quote:
"As I anticipate my senior year, I can't help but think back about
the many memories and friends that I have made while here at
USC. But the fact that I cherish the most about these memories
and friendships is that most of them were made as a result of my
involvement in the Carolina Community. I take pride in knowing
that hopefully when I am an alumnus of the University of South
Carolina, I will have left my mark in a positive way that people can
remember.
This year as president of ODK, I will have the unique
opportunity to promote leadership and the importance of having
'true' leaders on the college campus."

"Carolina is home to me. I came to Carolina as a student in the
Fall of 1974. I completed my bachelor's degree in 1978 and my
master's in 1980. I started working for Student Affairs as a graduate
assistant in the Fall of 1978 and have progressed to my current
position. As a native of South Carolina, I understand the
hopes of many South Carolinians rest with the educational opportunities
offered to them by the University. This is an awsome
responsibility and I work as hard as possible every day to make
the opportunities a reality for each student."

Quote:
"My roots at the university are deep. I grew up and received my
elementary and secondary education in Lakeland, Florida, and
came to USC in 1955 as a Naval ROTC scholarship student.-The
university of that time had an enrollment of 3,200 students contained
on a campus bound by Sumter, Pendleton, Pickens and
Blossom streets. I arrived as a stranger, but quickly was made to
feel a part of 'the family.' I think that sense of 'family' still exists
here even though the university has grown enormously in the past
four decades. In addition, my wife, daughter and son were all
undergraduates at USC, as were my son-in-law and daughter-inlaw,
and my mother was born in South Carolina. Co, you might
say I feel at home at The University of South Carolina because it
IS my home. My home life and my university life are inextricably
intertwined."
