When I checked The Gamecock to ]

you merely reserve the right to check

During the week of March 20, The

Are you people crazy, or have you
edefined the word "rape" to such an

im? My question again is: "Are you
ieople crazy?"
Since I started law school here last
all, I have learned the very descripive
and useful expression, "clearly eroneous."
Today I get to use it.
The statement that one of every
ix college females is raped is clearly
srroneous. While your author did not
generate her own statistics, but revived
them from another source, this
s no excuse for writing and printing
statistics that no intelligent could possibly
believe.
I truly hope that your author has
10 intention of becoming a professional
lournalist. Do you realize what a complete
disservice you have done to the
women who really have been victims
of the terrible crime of rape? You have
trivialized the suffering of these victims,
and you owe them an apology.
