The 13 tracks are a blend of various types of hard-core sounds and are filled with many truthful lines about the group's lives and existence in the world as they have experienced it. This New York based group is composed of five members. The members refer to themselves as: Sense. Season. I Donny, Spec and Dose. This album follows up their first EP, "Respect," released in the Spring. "Respect" was a breakthrough for the 1 V group to help them gain exposure _ V mostly in the Northeast and the 2 ij Midwest. They followed this EP by touring within these regions. "^1 During their tours they learned a I lot about what it is like to be out on the road. They are fan-oriented and enjoy hanging out with their fans after their shows. Their album is a combination of mainly positive songs with only two tracks expressing negativism. "J.I.V.E." stands for Jammin In Vicious Environments. The group believes that the best way to empower people is through positivity. However, they have a difficult time when the world is not always filled with positive forces. To the group, J.I.V.E. is not only an activity, but a state of mind. They believe that they must continue to improve and reach new heights musically as well as in life. Though they make a valiant effort to produce a successful album,' this L first album falls a little short. Several I of the songs are easy to attack t,o but the entire album lacks some unknown entity.
