Waging war with the norm does not
make you normal. Second, not one of
the comments in the Voices section
represents the majority view that homosexuality,
however rampant it may
be, is disgusting and incongruous
with the American tradition.
Most heterosexuals are not gay
bashers. We do have the capacity to
live peacefully with them. But homosexuals
constandy plea with us to educate
ourselves, asking who are we to
define "normal." Why then do homosexuals
dub their lifestyles as alterna

lifestyles of the norm.
I suggest to all homosexuals to stop
shedding light on the issue which is
oppressing you ? sexual orientation

Then, perhaps, the mainstream
of society will be more receptive
