McKissick to give Halloween tours Looking for a safe and unusual Halloween outing for the family? Try taking a tour of the "Haunted Horseshoe" from 6 ! p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and J Saturday. Costumed staff members of McKissick Museum will take participants on a guided tour of the Horseshoe, stopping at varif ous spots to tell scary tales of \ mysterious people and eerie events. The museum's community service room also will be decorated with spooky items and Halloween horrors. Cost is $2 per person or $5 per family. For more information, call McKissick Museum at 777-7251. Piano workshop to be offered Learn how to play the piano pain-free in a three-hour workshop, "Pop Style Piano Playing Made Easy," Nov. 1. The workshop will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in McMaster College, located on Pickens Street. The cost is $48. The workshop will be taught by professional pianist Deborah Belchner, who is nationally known for her piano-teaching method. No prior playing experience is necessary. Students will learn various shortcuts such as learning to play chords instead of reading notes. Belcher's self-teaching method includes a book and practice cassette, which will be provided at the workshop. Preregistration is required.
