USC music professor Samuel
Douglas has received the
American Society of
Composers, Authors and
Publishers Award.
The award is given to composers
for their catalogs of
original compositions as well
as the recent performances of
those works. It is granted by an
independent panel of performers,
conductors and professors
of music.
Volunteers needed
in medicine school
The department of obstetrics
and gynecology at the School
of Medicine is looking for volunteers
for a research project
that will seek to identify abnormalities
of the uterus, including
cancer.
Participants must be postmenopausal
women who have
an intact uterus. They will
receive a free gynecological
examination, which includes an
ultrasound examination to
detect abnormalities in the
uterus.
