Because of waiting periods of
up to two and a half hours in the j10
Thomson Student Health Center, lst
an appointment system is now in so;
effect. k?
The system is in response to mi
patient satisfaction surveys that ^rc
requested appointments no longer *~m
be an option but a necessity.
According to Lisa Mohn, assis- mt
tant director of health education, mt
the difference is already notice- le*
able. exl
"The first two weeks of school co
have gone very smoothly in the
health center," she said. "The wait co
has been no more than 15 minutes ^
if you have an appointment." W1
Students are encouraged to
make their appointments early in ^
the day, although each day half of hil
the appointment spaces are left se(
open in case some students need to

Mohn said that the appointment
system is better because it alleviates
the lunch rush by moving students
through all day long. shl
